KWIK CarCost™ – business acquisition completion
KeeResources and KWIKsystems are delighted to announce that the acquisition of the
CarCost™ business from the
Administrator of the McKenzie Myers’, Emmox Ltd businesses - has now been completed. The intellectual property of
CarCost™, and all its associated rights transferred to KWIKCarCost
Limited simultaneously. The existing extremely
professional team all join KWIKCarCost Limited with immediate effect.
The board of KeeResources felt the team and product lines under the
CarCost™ banner to be extremely
complementary to the existing Group operations, and simply critical business tools for a good number of their clients.
Encouraged by these clients, we were delighted to move rapidly to a settlement with the Administrator to maintain
data and system supply integrity for these clients (many of whom have also been long term KeeResources Group
clients), to avoid what would otherwise have been a very significant business interruption for all
CarCost™
users.
CarCost™ is the premier Industry Whole Life Cost system, used and highly regarded by Vehicle Manufacturers,
Dealer Groups and independent fleets throughout the UK; in operation in companies with fleet sizes from 40,000
down to just a handful of cars, such has been its popularity. It has been the system of choice for many such
operators since its inception in 1990, being easy to use, but packed with vital information to build and accurately
assess vehicle choice lists and final vehicle selections. It is well known for its ability to change rapidly to meet the
needs of shifting markets and fiscal changes with speed and accuracy, resulting in a very loyal and stable client base.
CarCost™ was until now solely a Car WLC system, but the extended inbound research data available to the operation
as part of the KeeResources Group means that LCVs will be added to the system over the early period of operations
under the new ownership. The group facilities and infrastructure add great benefits to the operational efficiency of
CarCost™
but the style of operation and its target market will not change; it will simply improve its offering in its
own sector of the automotive market. There is no cross-over with the Contract Hire, Leasing & Finance products and
professional services offered by the parent KeeResources Ltd, but the resources for research, system development
and deployment simply become broader and deeper within the group to the benefit of the users of all group products.
With funding entirely from its parent company KeeResources,
KWIKCarCost is also investing heavily in the physical
operation, with extensive replacement and additional software & hardware deployment, effectively replacing the
entire business infrastructure with genuinely state of the art facilities, to ready the business to make forward progress
in every area over the coming months and years.
